Washing your hands with a foaming wash and warm water for at least 20 seconds is optimal for thorough antimicrobial cleansing, but our alcohol-based sanitiser gel is a good option if you can't access water, or need to clean and sanitise hands quickly and efficiently at work or on the move.

Our formulation contains moisturising vegetable glycerine to counter the drying effects of alcohol. We’ve also added tea tree and lemongrass oils, which have a similar but slow-acting effect, giving the skin some protection between applications - and they give the gel a great scent too!

Please note that Balmonds Hand Sanitiser Gel is not part of our natural skincare for sensitive skin range, as it’s made with 70% alcohol to effectively deactivate microbes such as viruses and bacteria. Alcohol can sting sore or dry or cracked skin, and can exacerbate eczema. Keep your hands healthy and hydrated after sanitising by applying Balmonds Intensive Hand Cream or Balmonds Skin Salvation.

For best results, apply liberally to clean, grease-free hands and rub hands together to cover all surfaces, including between your fingers and the backs of your hands, until your hands feel dry. (The sanitiser won’t work as well if hands are visibly greasy or dirty.)

After applying the sanitiser, we recommend letting the gel evaporate completely, and then applying a generous amount of Balmonds Skin Salvation or Balmonds Intensive Hand Cream to counter the drying effects of alcohol.

As with any new skincare product, we advise that you test a tiny amount behind the ear or in the crook of your elbow for 24-48 hours before widespread use.
